For more than four decades, several Minnesota foundations have worked to strengthen our state and ensure that Minnesota is a place where everyone can thrive. We consistently work to make our community a stronger, more equitable place.
We are The Saint Paul & Minnesota Community Foundations.
We are two closely aligned organizations supported by a single, knowledgeable staff and board who are experts poised to help donors improve the effectiveness of their giving and active members of our community solve problems. We are also members of the community.
We are four individual foundations that are a part of a larger network. That network includes The Saint Paul Foundation, Minnesota Community Foundation, F. R. Bigelow Foundation and Mardag Foundation.
We also support more than 2,000 charitable organizations and donor funds.
In keeping with our mission to share knowledge and resources to benefit the communities we serve, the Foundations work consistently to advance our three strategic goals: advance equity, strengthen healthy communities and broaden philanthropic expression.

Our Strategic Goals
The Foundations work to advance three strategic goals in the East Metro and across Minnesota:
- Advance equity
- Strengthen communities
- Broaden philanthropic expression
One of our core principles is our dedication to advancing equity. Our community thrives when all its members have access to the tools they need to share in its vitality. We strive to do this as:
- Community participants
- Economic entities
