Steven FritzeChief Financial Officer, Ecolab, Inc. (retired)
Steve retired as chief financial officer for Ecolab, the Saint Paul-based provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies, at the end of 2012. In this role, Steve oversaw the company’s financial operations including accounting, tax and investor relations. He joined Ecolab as a corporate planning manager in the 1980s. Before that Steve worked for IBM.
Outside of the office, Steve likes lending his fiscal expertise to community causes. A committed volunteer, he has a long record of service to nonprofit arts, culture and humanitarian organizations. He also serves on the boards of Minnesota Public Radio, American Public Media Group, Wenger Corporation and Habitat for Humanity. He is also a member of the Financial Executives Institute, an international association of senior-level finance executives.
Steve has a bachelor’s in business and a master's in business administration from the University of Minnesota.
