Eric Hammes

Executive Vice President, Chief Country Governance and Services Officer, 3M

Eric Hammes is 3M’s executive vice president, chief country governance and services officer. His team supports the success of the 3M Operating Model, ensuring strong customer and employee engagement globally, protecting the reputation of 3M, providing world global services, while driving the company’s workplace transformation strategy. Country Governance and Services comprises Global Country Leadership, the Workplace Group, Global Service Centers, and 3M’s Emerging Markets.

Eric’s last role was Group President of Enterprise Operations, where he led global Manufacturing and Supply Chain for 3M, driving end-to-end optimization. He previously had led 3M’s Digital Transformation, one of the company’s three value creation levers. Eric joined 3M in 1997, and held several leadership positions in the Finance organization, primarily in Health Care and Electronics. He led 3M’s International Finance organization, and also served four years as 3M’s Senior Vice President of FP&A and Chief Accounting Officer. Working globally, and having led in United States, West Europe, and Asia Pacific, he has always focused on maximizing value for customers, employees, and shareholders.

Eric serves on the boards of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, St. Paul & Minnesota Foundation, and National Association of Manufacturing. In his spare time, he dedicates himself to being a loving husband and father and growing his family. He enjoys pushing himself mentally and physically in a broad range of athletics. Personal health and fitness are his passion.
