“I welcome the opportunity to grow our philanthropic community by engaging professional advisors, donors and nonprofits and facilitating conversations and actions that will ripple across our state.”
Luther Ranheim connects with professional advisors, providing essential philanthropic resources to clients and helping community members reach their charitable giving goals. He also partners with nonprofit organizations, assisting them with planned giving and endowment opportunities. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Luther brings his love of the Twin Cities to his professional experience in his role as gift planner. Luther combines his early career knowledge in banking, with former positions at Wells Fargo Private Client Services and Bremer Bank, with his more recent experience in nonprofit development at MacPhail Center for Music, Greater Twin Cities United Way, the Minnesota Orchestra and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Luther is a proud graduate of Lawrence University and currently serves on several boards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals and The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists. He is also on the Alumni Council of Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies. Outside of work, Luther and his wife Michelle love to support the Twin Cities’ wonderfully varied arts community, attending as many concerts and events as possible. With their dog Dagmar, a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, rounding out their family, they love cheering on Minnesota United and using their Big Green Egg to smoke and grill as much food as they can eat. In addition to his love for European “football,” Luther also supports the Minnesota Vikings.
