As Program Officer, Sharon supports the work of nonprofit organizations throughout the metro and the state. Sharon is responsible for reviewing grantmaking in several key areas, including arts and humanities, older adults and legal services. Through her role, Sharon works alongside community members who work or volunteer at nonprofit organizations and is consistently in awe of their commitment to making community more equitable and vibrant for all.

Sharon joined the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation in 2007. She brought 25 years of prior experience working at theaters and performing arts centers helping to connect youth, educators, families and the public with transformative arts experience. Sharon serves on the board of Grantmakers in the Arts, a national association of arts funders which provides resources and leadership to support artists and arts organizations.

Outside of work, Sharon is a watercolor artist. She collaborated with poet Margaret Hasse on a book of poems and paintings entitled “Shelter,” published by Nodin Press. Sharon lives in Saint Paul with her family and loves seeing live theater and music and biking along the Mississippi.
